Perranporth Community Hub 1st Birthday Bash goes off with a bang!

A wonderful day was had by all at the Perranporth Community Hub’s First Birthday Celebration held on the 23rd of September at St Michael’s Church Hall in Perranporth. We had over 100 people through the doors throughout the day, many of who were our Hub regulars who attended to support us, and we were blown away by the many members of the Perranporth community who came along to show their support too. Since we started the Hub back in Sept 2022 we’ve been overwhelmed by the support and generosity we’ve received from the Perranporth community – both from local businesses and individuals who’ve been integral to making our Community Hub such a success in its first year.

The Hub Birthday bash was planned and run by Imagine If, and our committed group of volunteers. The celebrations, involving a tombola (of course, we love a tombola), a raffle and book stall were all on offer, and the huge amount of donations we received from local businesses and individuals in the community enabled us to have some wonderful prizes. There was music from local performer, Lee Quinney as well as cream teas and cakes which were also donated from the community, and of course, there was a Splat the Rat game. By the end of the session people were up dancing to the wonderful music of Lee and then we had the obligatory Birthday Cake and Happy Birthday was sung and the raffle was drawn to round off the event.

The Birthday celebration allowed us to raise money which goes directly in to making even more brilliant stuff happen at the Hub in year two. We have some big plans for next year, so watch this space!

We would like to express our deepest and heartfelt thanks to all our Hub volunteers, regular attendees and supporters who have made the first year of the Hub so amazing. We also want to thank all the businesses who supported us with donations and money for our first Birthday celebrations. We couldn’t have asked for more from our first year, and we are so looking forward to working with the people of Perranporth and Perranzabuloe to make the Community Hub even bigger and better in the future.
